• Medical aspects of environmental protection (specifically drinking water supply, waste water disposal, waste management, Chemicals Act, noise abatement, air pollution control and radiation protection) and of swimming pool and sauna operation, including tasks involving appraisal by official experts;
  
• Drinking water hygiene and monitoring;
  
• Combating tuberculosis and tuberculosis aid;
  
• Issues relating to occupational medicine;
  
• Sanitary supervision of spa resorts and natural healing operations
